  1. RESEARCH

(a) Research Interests

  1. Hepatic cancer.

(b) Research Experience

Mohamed Hamzawy gained a modest experience in both in-vivo and in-vitro research by using experimental animals and hepatoma cell line, respectively in evaluation of impact of sex hormones on hepatotoxicity or hepatic cancer. He joined research team and obtained experience in designing protocols of using different animal models for autism, oral lesions, hepatotoxicity, hepatic cancer, and skin infections. Experienced in designing protocols for using BALB C mice for induction lung cancer and using genetic modified zebra fish as experimental model for hepatic cancer. Research experience has been built via learning different techniques such as MTT assay, nuclear condensation assay and COMET assay, and other biochemical and molecular techniques. On the other hand, he learned different methods of cell culture stable lentiviral cell transfection, protein electrophoresis, and western-blotting. Recently, Hamzawy, PhD learned FACS analysis for determination the effect of knockdown of MMR genes on the cell cycle of the hepatoma cell lines
